Rigsby Wold Holiday Cottages

Owl Cottage

Last month Mr Smiles and I had a very enjoyable relaxing break in Lincolnshire staying at Owl Cottage part of Rigsby Wold Holiday Cottages. I’ve never visited Lincolnshire before and it made a nice change to the South Coast. In fact Lincolnshire has now become one of my favourite holiday destinations. I thought I’d share a few of  the highlights.

Lincolnshire Treats

I hope you enjoyed our Lincolnshire highlights as much as we did. I must admit the Lincolnshire Plum bread and Poacher cheese supplied by Barbara, the cottage owner, was delicious! I bought the jug locally in Alford as we just had to enjoy the Lincolnshire daffodils whilst we were there!

We are looking forward to visiting Lincolnshire again at a different time of year. I am keen to visit a few of the lovely gardens open to the public and to see more of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We loved `Owl’ Cottage particularly the wonderful views and the homely kitchen.

Please advise prices for two people for the first week in September.
Are you dog friendly to two very well behaved and well trained dogs?

Dear Gail, Owl isn’t my holiday cottage! I like blogging about places we stay on holiday. My husband says `We could convert our Oxfordshire shed for you!’ I will pass your question on to the owners Barbara and Bill. I do know that the cottage we stayed is kept pet free, however the next door cottage called Pheasant is pet friendly. Glad you liked my pics enough to fancy a stay yourself!
If you do visit I’d love to see any pictures you take as September is such a lovely time of year to go on holiday.
      Best Wishes Patsy
